Camplin is a historic brand of English clothing: it starts its activity in 1850 as a supplier of uniforms for the sailors of the Royal Navy. The founder Edgar Camplin had the idea to introduce the use of peacoat as an integral part of the uniform for the non-commissioned officers of the Navy. The peacoat is a heavy jacket, which has the style and appearance of an officer's coat, but it is different for a greater ease and lightness.

Today, this dress with a glorious past, is reinterpreted and offered in several models, including for women, while keeping unchanged the characteristics that made him famous: the double-breasted, the collar reverse and the use of pure virgin wool, worked to be waterproof and to protect from the bad weather.
